Job Description :
Spacecraft Electrical Systems Engineer for competitive phase of nationally critical spacecraft system. Responsibilities include oversight of all electrical performance and integration, oversight of power modeling, channelization/electrical interconnect management, compatibility analysis, worst case circuit analysis, and electrical subsystem designs to assure compliance with the spacecraft level technical baseline, maintenance of end to end compatibility, functional allocations and margins. Analyze competing solutions for spacecraft design, command and control and mission data processing. Perform complex trades to determine the baseline architecture incorporating components from multiple heritage systems that have never before been integrated together.

Participate in development and execution of critical development program milestone reviews such as PDR and CDR. Effectively communicate to program and customer management and executive leadership extemporaneously and in formal reviews.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years experience in satellite design, integration, test and/or operations.
2+ years experience in spacecraft electrical integration.
1+ years demonstrated success in technical leadership role.

Desired skills
Familiarity with systems engineering and mission assurance fundamentals necessary for delivering highest reliability space systems for nationally critical missions.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex design information, technical decisions and issues to both highly technical and non-technical reviewers.
Prior experience as spacecraft or electrical subsystem/component CPE
Experience in major acquisition program.
Experience in electrical design and integration (power modeling, electrical compatibility analysis, etc.).
A firm understanding and demonstrated experience applying Lockheed Martin and industry engineering and systems engineering processes and principles to develop and deliver high reliability, high cost, nationally critical satellite systems.
The ability to create/modify system design artifacts per the requirements baseline.
Ability to analyze data from spacecraft subsystem providers (e.g. bus, payload) and demonstrate compatibility, assess requirements compliance, identify and resolve risks, and implement opportunities for improved solutions vs. system requirements
Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
