Job Description :
This position will be located on the eastern Shore Area of Maryland, particularly the Cambridge, Salisbury, and Ocean City areas on a daily basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Customer Care Manager to understand and build strategies to respond to client needs, market trends, and emerging technologies
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve program outreach strategy
• Develop annual program outreach plan
• Work with internal reporting staff to define and report on progress against key business/performance indicators
• Collaborate with internal management, operations, and engineering teams to deliver a customer-centric experience
• Develop, implement and provide service providers with technical support and trainings in conjunction with client and program staff
• Create demand and maximize energy savings in the commercial and industrial marketplace through direct outreach within assigned territory.
• Generate new business by prospecting, conducting market analysis and leveraging existing relationships.
• Target top prospects and identify appropriate energy savings recommendations.
• Conduct program-related training for customers and service providers
• Act as an "energy solutions expert" by helping customers with their unique critical issues and initiatives.
• Develop relationships with building owners, property managers, business owners, service providers, and other building decision makers to meet the program savings goals.
• Represent program at applicable target market meetings
• Acts as liaison with local, regional and national energy efficiency organizations and trade allies

Basic Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree is required. A graduate degree is strongly preferred ideally with specialization in business, engineering, or related field. In addition 5 years of progressive sales/outreach management experience including planning, project implementation, budget management, and client/account management. Experience in the energy, utility and/or efficiency industry a plus. Excellent written and verbal skills as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications are also required. Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical groups, attention to details, superior organization skills, and successful experience developing and implementing outreach strategies are required.

Strategic Marketing Skills: Demonstrated experience, knowledge, and understanding of strategic marketing with the ability to practically apply the skills. Makes a strong link between strategy and functional results. Ability to effectively combine strategic and tactical skills, developing “big picture” strategic plans along with detailed execution roadmaps.

Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of key business drivers, unique needs of end-users and channel partners and technical acumen and understanding of energy efficiency programs.

Value Management/Value Pricing: Demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of customer value drivers and turning those into clearly articulated differentiated segment value offerings to capture savings.

Voice of customer: Demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of VOC processes, customer needs identification, market segmentation; understand value elements critical to customers; calculate value equations; target value propositions to customer segments.
Program & Project Management: Understands program management and can apply these principles to achieve strategic marketing objectives. Ability to analyze data and information, and apply problem-solving skills to deliver recommendations and drive to results.

Leadership: Ability to build consensus across all levels of the organization, work effectively in a cross-functional organization, and manage by influence/example.
