Job Description :
As a member of the ASIC SoC Design team, you will be responsible for the following:
• Microarchitecture and design high-performance (low-latency, high-bandwidth,
high-frequency), low-power on-chip fabric/interconnect and fabric components
• Analyze and configure fabric components to meet topology, bandwidth and
latency needs of SoC
• Integrate fabric components at SoC level and sub-system level, including
instantiation, connectivity, perform structural checks (such as Lint, CDC)
• Synthesis and timing closure
• Power analysis of design components (using industry standard tools)
• Optimize design components for power and performance
• Develop and maintain methodology/flows/checks for designs
• Work with multi-disciplinary groups to deliver designs on time with the highest
• Lead the architecture team to define the design microarchitecture hierarchy
and interfaces and develop microarchitecture spec. Refine the spec with
reviews with other teams
• Develop RTL design of one or more blocks following established design
guidelines based on microarchitecture spec. Own all aspects of RTL
development design
• Manage and collaborate with other designers in the group to deliver results
on schedule
• Integrate common/shared IP blocks to design and optimize memories/hard
macros required for the block
• Work with front-end synthesis/STA teams to ensure timing for the block is met
• Work with power/performance and functional verification team to ensure high
quality of the block
• Work with multi-disciplinary groups to make sure designs are delivered on
time and with highest quality by incorporating proper checks at every stage
of the design process

*Ability to obtain SECRET Clearance required for this role.
*This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen

Basic Qualifications
- Experience in the design of FPGA and/or ASIC devices.
- HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog.
- Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired skills
- Experience designing and/or verifying high complexity modular architectures.
- Experience with modern verification methodologies, including UVM and/or OVM.
- Experience in developing FPGAs and/or ASICs for high-reliability applications including space environments.
- Experience evaluating IP cores from multiple vendors and performing trade studies to determine optimal solution.
- Experience with Mentor Graphics Modelsim or Questasim, Synopsys Synplify Pro, and Libero SoC.
- Experience developing with Xilinx Virtex-5QV, Microsemi antifuse (RTSX and/or RTAX) and SoC (RTG4) devices and Xilinx 7-series or newer devices.
- Experience with AMBA architectures, embedded processors, and IP cores
- Experience with object-oriented programming (e.g. C++ or Java)
