This position is to support the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) program. This program uses the Open Plan, PM Compass and Cobra tool sets. This position will be part of a multiple person planning team that supports multiple ships under construction. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the IMP/IMS, implementing performance baselines, monthly statusing and schedule analysis, monthly integration of shipbuilding subcontractor schedules, and supporting program reviews. Will interface with the Program Planning Lead, LCS Program Office, Program Finance, CAMs, and major subcontractor counterparts. This position will require travel for a few days at a time on a somewhat regular basis

Basic Qualifications
Experience performing as a Program Planner/Scheduler on DoD programs and proposals, demonstrated skills using planning tools, current knowledge of earned value management and scheduling/planning policies and procedures. Knowledge and demonstrated experience of earned value management and schedule management (includes IMS, IMP, PSMS, integration of supplemental schedules, schedule metrics, critical path analysis). Must be process oriented with strong communication and organizational skills. The candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills and have the proven ability to coordinate team activities in a Program management/Integrated Product Team environment, including virtual team members. They must have demonstrated effective verbal and written communications skills. Must be proficient in MS-Office applications. Must possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college

Desired skills
- Shipbuilding experience or shipyard repair experience;
- Knowledge of PPMP-01 (Program Performance Management Process)
- Experience with the Primavera scheduling tool (our shipbuilder uses this)
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent team player.
- Strong presentation skills
