Job Description :
• Represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
• Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would normally have a serious effect upon the administration of the organization.
• Participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
• Providing strategic and tactical HR support to the employees in the business.
• Partnering with leaders to understand key business challenges and organization needs, and delivering programs to meet these needs.
• Facilitating change initiatives through the use of HR consultation skills.
• Studies, prepares for, and advises on matters pertaining to contract negotiation, grievance cases, arbitrations, conciliations, federal and state labor legislation, etc.
• Represents management in collective bargaining with unions representing company employees.
• Prepares briefs and conducts or participates in the conduct of presentations at hearings.
• Represents the company in dealings with governmental agencies.
• Participates in informational programs and preparation of employee handbooks and manuals to effect cooperation and coordination in union-employee management relations.
• Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
• Responsible for entire projects with significant scope and complexity.
• Advise and counsel leaders on a variety of topics to optimize employee engagement, team development and organizational effectiveness.
• Coach and train leaders on how to manage their employees.
• Counseling employees on HR procedures, performance, career planning and work/life balance issues.
• Objectively assessing and bringing to resolution employee relations issues.
• Effective execution of HR processes, including talent management and development, workforce planning and management, diversity and inclusion, salary planning, etc.
• Deploying and implementing Human Resources policies and practices.
• Partnering with leadership to accurately forecast and plan staffing requirements.
• Partnering with HR Recruiter for staffing and new hire process for your organization.
• Work with managers on interviewing candidates.
• Manage multiple projects on continuous improvement for HR.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
Knowledge of human resources practices and policies, and applicable state and federal laws.
Prior experience working with a salaried and bargained employees population is a plus.
Hands-on self-starter, capable of juggling multiple priorities.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, allowing for communication across entire organization.
Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills.
Ability to foster change and promote and implement improvement.
Must able to work and report to a matrixed organization.
Experience with Labor Relations.

• BA/BS degree w/6+ years experience 
• MA/MS degree w/4+ years experience 
• Experience as an HR Generalist and or experience in a Human Resources functional area.

Desired skills
• Experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred
• MBA and PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.
