Job Description :
This position is responsible for providing HR Leadership to the Commercial Systems and Services (CSS) market segment within Sikorsky Aircraft. CSS has responsibility for program execution for all Commercial Programs (S92, S76, S61, and Lights). This market segment is responsible for ~$1B in annual revenue, ~1.5B in orders and over $2.5B in backlog. This position will be based in Shelton, CT.

The preferred candidate will partner with CSS Leaders to align HR objectives and initiatives to business strategy. Additionally, he/she will effectively manage and execute HR processes, including talent acquisition and development, Leadership Development/Succession Planning, Performance Management, employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, salary planning, and incentive compensation planning as well as managing and tracking compliance against deadlines for the CSS organization.

The CSS team is comprised of over 450 employees (including 4 executives: Directors and above) who are responsible for over 25 programs in multiple domestic locations (including WA, TX, PA, NY and CT). This role includes leadership of HRBPs in Sikorsky Subsidiaries/Affiliates – Mission Equipment (Lifeport/Enflite) and Associated Aircraft Group (AAG) based in Woodland, WA and Wappinger Falls, NY respectively.


The HR Manager for CSS will be responsible for developing and implementing the Human Capital strategy and initiatives to ensure talent and organizational capability as well as capacity are aligned to support the business needs. In this role the HR Manager is expected to be a strategic business partner to the Vice President of CSS and staff. The HR Manager will be expected to help lead the development of innovative Human Capital solutions to address complex business issues including but not limited to large scale change initiatives, business growth, staffing up or down cycles, business integration, executive talent development, coaching for business outcomes, organizational design, and strategic decision making. He/she must possess very strong business and financial acumen in order to develop and execute the necessary human capital strategies. The HR Manager must know the talent within the organization and develop talent management strategies to ensure key talent is placed in key roles and that the organization has the appropriate bench strength. Ability to demonstrate the following attributes: Acts with courage, exhibits emotional intelligence and executive presence, experienced in navigating through complexity. Specific duties include:

-Use metrics/analytics to drive performance
-Support workforce planning/Leading and facilitating change initiatives
-Champion effective utilization of perf mgmt/improvement
-Administer total rewards
-Partner with exec leadership to drive organizational improvements
-Provide HRBP expertise/insight to talent/succession planning
-Provide HR insight to program leadership selections
-Champion employee engagement, retention and diversity and inclusion
-Be an employee advocate
-Provide HR Leadership for the three HRBPs located in WA, TX, and NY.
-Lead and develop the CSS HR team

Basic Qualifications
- Prior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) and Center of Excellence (COE) functional experience.
- Knowledge of human resource practices and policies, and applicable state and federal laws
- Prior leadership experience with direct reports.
- Demonstrated ability to handle proprietary and confidential material appropriately
- BA/BS degree with a minimum of 8 years of Human Resources experience or a Masters degree with 6 years of experience, preferably in Human Resources or Industrial & Labor Relations
