Job Description :
Develops and performs experimentally, the layout, parts fabrication, assembly, installation and checkout operations required for the building of hydraulic and plumbing systems on prototype aircraft and other prototype products, for the purpose of creating or proving engineering design, to the point where sufficient information is gathered and the work may be delegated to others such as production bench, fabrication, assembly and/or installation personnel, or to subcontractors.
Incorporates major revisions in prototype hydraulic and plumbing systems on the level of difficulty of the work described herein, by developing and performing experimentally, the required layout, fabrication, assembly, installation and checkout operations.
Works closely with authorized liaison personnel, and suggests, verbally or by sketches, design changes; for engineering approval, when part, system or assembly cannot be made or installed as designed, or does not seem to meet functional demands, or where such changes will simplify fabrication, assembly, installation or maintenance of systems.
Determines, or physically projects or lays out from loft, the coordination points required for building of tooling or parts, so as to insure subsequent mating of fabricated or installed parts and assemblies, and/or to determine location, or to prevent interference with other systems, structures, or installations.
Performs all necessary operations to prove the functioning of prototype ship hydraulic and plumbing systems and components.
Works from general configuration and preliminary engineering design data, oral or written.
Improvises shop aids or works without tooling in fabricating, assembling, installing, operating and checking out hydraulic and plumbing systems and components. Develops information required to build necessary tooling.
Lays out, fabricates and assembles supporting structural parts as a required, incidental to the hydraulic and plumbing development work described herein.
Makes and proves master tube templates, working from own developed ship mockup.
Instructs and works with production personnel as required in the initial production run, including fabrication, assembly, installation and checkout of the developed system.
Performs satisfactorily any function of the Tube Finisher, Tube Assembler, Tube Bender - General, Hydraulic Assembler, Hydraulic and Plumbing Installer, and Hydraulic and Plumbing Checkout Mechanic as required.

Basic Qualifications
Experience with Tube Finisher, Tube Assembler and Tube Bender.
Experience with Hydraulic Assembler, Hydraulic and Plumbing Installer, and Hydraulic and Plumbing Checkout Mechanic as required
