Job Description :
Engineering Program Manager with the following program responsibilities; overseeing all hull array programs, managing E&T activities for the Large Vertical Array (LVA) back-fit and forward-fit contracts, and all Syracuse ceramics lab work scope. The successful candidate will be directly leading the LVA program engineering team, and will be providing guidance and oversight to the EPMs on the other hull array programs. The engineering scope will focus on acoustic sensors and signal conditioning product development and production. Typical scope includes requirements definition/allocation, design, fabrication, integration and test efforts. Lead multi-disciplined engineering teams; engage with customers to ensure project meets cost, schedule and technical requirements. Ensure effective and efficient implementation of metrics and tools to proactively manage the engineering content of programs. Ensure engineering complies with business operating policies. Engage with product subcontractors as required to ensure product integrity. Identify opportunities for product development and create LM Intellectual Property. Provide interface to the Syracuse USS Chief Engineer and Program Management providing program status, issues and recommendations. Perform project planning including staffing, cost account management, risk management and proposal development. Coordinate Tech Ops staffing and provide input to USS Chief Engineer and program management on future IRAD investment and lead IRAD execution throughout product life-cycle. Develop cost estimates and support proposal efforts. Support Executive Planning Panel (EPP) and Engineering and Technology (E&T) reviews.

• Proposal Experience
• Experience building strong customer relationships
• Prior management experience
• Contract and subcontract experience knowledge
• Technically managed cost plus and fixed price contracts

Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. Strong work ethic and self-motivation.

Demonstrated ability as team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with multiple customers.

Desired skills
Previous costing experience on proposals.
Hardware and Software Development leadership experience.
System integration experience.
Design experience in underseas environment
