This is a Santa Cruz Facility position: Perform explosive handling and transporting of test hardware to test sites and/or customer locations, using conventional, manual and specialized ordnance handling equipment as required.
Package and crate explosive materials for shipment in accordance with prescribed ordnance procedures and safety practices all classes of ordnance materials and devices such as bulk explosives, both primary and secondary ammunition, bombs, rocket motors, chemicals, cartridges, squibs, detonation cords, detonators and propellants related to ordnance. Working to prescribed procedures conduct incinerator disposal operations of all burnable Class A, B and C explosive wastes.
Verify explosive material identification for transportation and storage according to class and compatibility requirements. Upon receipt from vendor segregate explosive items for test and manufacturing utilization and store in explosive magazines in accordance with prescribed governmental regulations. Monitor temperature and humidity conditions and maintain continuous inventory of all items in magazines.

A complete knowledge of the characteristics of explosives and propellants relative to their handling, storage, and transportation as well as safety practices and records related to these functions; basic use of arithmetic, thorough knowledge of Company and governmental regulations governing the handling, transporting and storage of explosive materials.
Ability to operate electric carts, pallet movers, forklifts, pick-up trucks and related handling equipment. Must possess and maintain a valid State of California commercial license with hazardous material endorsement.
Ability to obtain Secret clearance
