Job Description :
Lockheed Martin in Colorado is seeking a Staff Systems Integration and Test Engineer to work on a cutting-edge team developing FPGA embedded systems solutions targeting problems related to (but not limited to) cyber security.

The Job:
As one of the largest defense contractors in the world, Lockheed Martin is responsible for developing embedded systems platforms in many exciting domains including satellites and avionics. This FPGA Verification Engineer position provides the opportunity to get involved in an exciting new program designing and developing new embedded software and hardware components to be integrated into the future F-35 upgrades. The ideal candidate for this position would have experience integrating and testing complex embedded systems as well as general systems engineering experience including writing and managing automated test scripts, test procedures, use cases, and maintaining requirements and verification traceability. Involvement in all phases of software development and verification is required, i.e. development of software requirements and design documents, project plans, test plans, test execution, and training customers on the use of the products. The selected candidate may also be involved in various embedded and cyber security related research and development projects.

Louisville Colorado is a suburb of Boulder Colorado. Located near the front range of the Rocky Mountains the area is known for its 300 days of sunshine, thriving cultural scene, and natural beauty. The area offers nearly endless opportunities for nearby snow skiing, hiking, and nature viewing.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in an engineering or scientific discipline with 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Understanding of networking standards and network security
• Experience performing FPGA verification including the development and maintenance of automated tests to support continuous integration and formal verification
• Experience throughout the entire engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and deployment)
• Strong technical communication skills (experience communicating technical designs to non-technical customers and communicating customer desires to technical team)
• Experience developing unit, sub-system and system level test plans/procedures/scripts
• Experience with continuous integration, subsystem and system level test data reduction, analysis, and test reporting
• Strong systems engineering knowledge
• Must have strong teamwork skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Desired skills
• Candidates with specialized systems engineering experience including DO-254 (Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware) and Design Assurance Plan for CEH (Complex Electronic Hardware) are preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of agile development within a scrum team
• Ability to work in a team focused, dynamic environment
• Proven ability to lead and work in all aspects of the systems engineering and operations support efforts associated with the development, integration, testing and demonstration of a system solution which complies with all performance requirements
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
