Job Description :
System Data Thread Lead for Military Support Programs Block 3 program to lead the integration of data management and communications subsystems. The Block 3 program is in a Post-CDR Phase, but is adding enhancements that are in SRR/SDR or PDR phases. Focus is on risk reduction testing and integration for the baseline program, and requirements, CONOPs development, external I/F definition, architectural studies and system trades for the enhancements.

Responsibilities include managing the packet and frame definitions, leading the development and updates to the Space to Ground ICD and perform modeling to ensure the Space and Ground Elements meet their data latency requirements. Responsible for defining the verification strategy, verification events and verification of the Data Latency requirements at the System Level.

This position will serve as a member of the MSP Block 3 Program Systems Design and Integration Team responsible for aspects of the systems engineering process including: systems integration, system level design, design reviews, technical product reviews and delivery, requirements, integration and test planning.

** This position requires a government security clearance and only candidates with US Citizenship will be considered. **

Basic Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI security clearance

Desired skills
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• At least 5 years of experience with spacecraft development
• Bachelors degree (Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, RF Engineering, or a related technical discipline) with 7+ of related professional experience
• Solid technical skills to understand the transfer of data over complex electrical interfaces through several subsystems.
• Electrical engineering degree with experience in high speed interfaces (XAUI/SERDES).
• Knowledge or experience with Simulink for modeling data latency
• RF communications experience
• Experience leading component and subsystem design reviews (PDR, CDR, etc)
• Knowledge and application of the systems engineering
processes including trade studies, design reviews and system verification.
• Ability to interact with hardware and software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied
• Experience with integration and test planning, and execution
• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on
numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
