Job Description :
This candidate must have extensive background in Systems Engineering involving the requirements, analysis, and test of complex systems being developed by multidisciplinary teams, with specific experience in enterprise system technology development, system technologies, and systems architecture. Must be an effective mentor and coach for a wide array of talent and experience levels. Collaborates with other IPTs within Engineering and Technology, and with projects and programs. This position reports to the Director of Systems Engineering and is responsible for the performance of Systems Integration and Test.

Must provide strong leadership for Systems Engineering initiatives and will provide a wide array of senior leadership support to the program, including proposals, red teams, Engineering Review Board (ERB), Cost Control Board (CCB), Architecture Working Group (AWG), test readiness reviews, pre-ship reviews, independent technical reviews, corporate reviews, customer reviews, design assurance reviews, US test event reviews, UAE test event reviews, test artifact reviews (test plans, test procedures, test reports), and metrics, etc. The preferred candidate will be a strong change agent for improving the technical operations and capabilities.

Responsible for development of methodology and tools to improve effectiveness and productivity of the organization. Works through project managers and Systems Engineering Leads to ensure that departmental support to projects and proposals is effective and timely. Provides for review and approval of technical approach, staffing requirements, and cost estimates for new tasks.

The candidate will also have excellent communication skills – must be able to prepare roadmaps and present to directors, VPs and customers to communicate plans and priorities.

Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years developing automation frameworks using automation tools in both hardware and software environments using technologies such as SilkTest, Eggplant, and Selenium
• Experienced and knowledgeable in test automation best practices and test data management
• Experience designing and coding high efficiency tests for scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications in a Windows or Linux environment
• Software design, development and coding skills
• System engineering skills
• Test engineering and test design kills
• Scripting skills (e.g. Perl, Shell, Python, Ruby on Rails)

• UML/SysML modeling awareness
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Independent, strong sense of self-motivation, organization and attention to detail
• Great sense of time and priority management
• Preference for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while juggling multiple projects
• Experience with multiple development methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, etc.
• Able to learn and understand multiple types of systems (IT, Air, Sea, Ground, Cmd and Cntl, etc.)
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related degree

Desired skills
• Understanding and effective application of code quality metrics, such as those produced by SonarQube, FindBugs, PMD and other such tools
• Knowledge of RMS processes
• Performance testing experience
• Comfortable with UNIX or Linux; Jira; Confluence
• Practical SQL skills
