Job Description :
The candidate will be responsible for ongoing management and enhancement of safety programs and overall regulatory compliance. Candidate will oversee ESH program assessments, critical operations oversight, mishap investigations, and ensure proper documentation of OSHA requirements. The candidate will collect and present ESH metrics, support organizational safety initiatives, and conduct required safety training for employees. Candidate will be responsible for working closely with site leadership, engineering, and employees to assess and address safety aspects of engineering controls, facilities projects, engaging employees to address safety concerns and determining safe work behaviors. The candidate must be focused on accident and injury prevention and will manage safety program performance through effective communications, project management, and development of continuous improvement initiatives. Candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a functional team to resolve issues. Candidate will represent the organization across multiple levels of the company and demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate organization strategy and objectives.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant, professional experience. In lieu of a degree, candidates who have 10 years of relevant ESH experience will also be considered.
• Competent with regulatory and consensus standards such as OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, etc.
• Experience in Environmental Health & Safety disciplines such as developing and maintaining program documents, collecting and presenting metrics, evaluations and/or inspections, ergonomic assessments and/or industrial hygiene assessments, conducting training for ESH programs
• Ability to identify and maintain leading safety indicators/metrics
• Exemplary communication, prioritization, strategic and problem solving skills
• Computer application proficiency

Desired skills
• Experience with managing federal and state environmental programs including RCRA, wastewater, air permitting, and general facility environmental compliance
• Six Sigma and lean manufacturing experience
• Auditing experience
