Job Description :
The Director of Diversity & Inclusion will be responsible for effectively executing the Corporate Diversity & Inclusion Strategy, implementing key diversity strategies, defining and implementing appropriate measurement tools, and supporting the Executive Inclusion Council in the integration of the corporation’s diversity and inclusion strategy across the enterprise.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
• Continually evaluate the diversity and inclusion strategy to ensure it is relevant to current business landscape and that is supports the LM Human Capital Strategy. Manage the implementation of the strategy across all business areas and engage the Executive Inclusion Council as co-owners of the strategy.
• Conduct research and analysis to provide insight on developing diversity workforce management trends. Benchmark industry best practices to support strategies to monitor and evaluate enterprise-wide progress in creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to integrate diversity and inclusion strategy into workforce strategy, to include STEM, Generational and Higher Education initiatives.
• Provide thought leadership by developing innovative initiatives and recommendations that drive business strategy and demonstrate the impact of diversity and inclusion to bottom line results.
• Define and implement the next generation of metrics and measurement tools.
• Build successful relationships among various Centers of Excellence (Communications, Talent & Organizational Capability, WSI and Ethics) to formulate integrated messaging and the integration of diversity and inclusion into communications and development of employees.
• Implementation of key diversity initiatives with a focus on employee engagement and articulation of an employee value proposition on diversity.
• Manage Leadership Forums, Community Framework and the overall framework of Employee Resource Groups within the business areas.
• Engage with leadership across the business to drive diversity related messages throughout the organization. Provide consulting expertise to the organization through focus groups, meeting facilitation, group exercises, etc.
• Interface with external organizations to develop partnerships and further develop strategies for diverse STEM pipeline development. Market the Lockheed Martin’s diversity and inclusion brand to community, customers and educational entities.

Basic Qualifications
• Knowledge and understanding of diversity and inclusion principles
• Experience leading a large scale change management initiative
• Public speaking experience
• Program management experience
• Experience representing organization to customers partners, and/or industry
• Business acumen, analytical skills, reliability and sound judgment
• Diplomatic and articulate communication style in dealing with senior executives
• Action orientation, superior attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills
• Passion for personal accountability, achievement, learning and continual improvement
• Proclivity toward teaming and collaboration
• Ability to build consensus and relationships at all levels of management
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage high-volume workload and complex priorities
• Proven ability to think strategically and work across Lockheed Martin

Desired skills
