• The candidate will work on the Military Support Program (MSP) Flight Independent Test team performing flight software Verification and Validation (V&V).
• In this position you will be responsible for planning, developing, executing flight software V&V and the corresponding data analysis, artifact preservation and requirements traceability.
• Primary duties include software integration, software requirement analysis, software requirement verification, and flight software validation. V&V activities are performed on several test bed architectures to include hardware in the loop and software simulator environments.
• Duties will include integrated level, black box testing and/or unit-level white box testing.
• The candidate must work with the Software Item Qualification Test (SIQT) lead, test bed operators and quality engineering to schedule times for SIQTs.
• Additionally, the candidate must be comfortable developing automated regression tests for software items requiring an in-depth level of understanding concerning the MSP programs.

Basic Qualifications
• Flight software testbeds and command and control (or T&C) subsystems experience
• Experience with C or C++, Java and/or TOPL programming language
• Experience in decomposing requirements into verification test steps and documenting test results.
• Unix or Linux experience.
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Desire to work with high performance software development teams

Desired skills
• Experience in software development.
• Experience developing and documenting software process, procedures and practices.
• Experience with model based development and coninuous integration tools such as Jenkins
• Ability to trouble shoot HW/SW issues and run to root cause
• Experience with Simics
• C++, Ada, Perl, and/or Python development experience.
