Deputy Technical Director within the Ground Based Air Surveillance Radar Chief Engineering organization. Responsible for ensuring that the radar system architecture meets the requirements of a given program. Develops modifications to existing products to meet unique customer needs, and supports/leads the development of next-generation products within this market segment. Leads/oversees technical work products developed by the larger engineering team, supporting design reviews and integration and test activities as needed. Supports capture activities, including RFI/RFP preparation, customer presentations and live demonstrations, and competitor analysis. Leads formal customer sell-off events, and supports troubleshooting fielded radar systems.

Maintains knowledge of current and developing technologies and develops strategies for their insertion into both legacy and next-generation radar systems.

Able to present to customers and senior management and tailor the material based on the audience.

Significant international and domestic travel required.

Basic Qualifications
- Understanding of basic radar theory
- Experience working with and/or designing radar systems
- Effective presentation and communication skills
- Ability to operate as the program engineering POC for Customers, Senior Leadership and the Program Office in a mentored environment

Desired skills
- Radar waveform/template design
- Understanding of radar signal processing algorithms
- Radar system performance modeling
- Radar system integration and test experience
- Requirements analysis and definition
- Understanding of the RF/Analog, Digital, and Software building blocks of a radar system

- Preferred candidate would have working knowledge of Ground Based Air Surveillance Radar Products including: TPS-X, AN/TPS-77, AN/TPS-59, and AN/FPS-117
