Job Description :
Lockheed Martin Advanced Energy Storage is focusing on the development of transformational renewable energy storage technologies that will enable renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind, to power our society anywhere, anytime, and at low cost. We are a small, development arm of a mature organization located in Cambridge, MA close to the Alewife T station.

This is a full-time, technical position to aid the development of Lockheed Martin Advanced Energy Storage’s novel energy storage technology. The candidate will design, implement, maintain, and optimize the electrical equipment (power supplies, load bank, etc) associated with the electrochemical test stations. The candidate will clearly and frequently communicate results to stakeholders within the company.

Basic Qualifications
Individuals must be flexible, able to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, and able to work independently and as part of a group. The candidate must be familiar with the operation and usage of basic test equipment, including DVM, DMM, oscilloscope, and must be able to perform basic electrical maintenance tasks such as soldering and wiring.

Desired skills
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Software engineering or related field is desired. Candidates should have a strong interest in renewable energy technologies. Hands-on experience in the design, setup, operation, and troubleshooting of prototype systems with basic electrical interfaces and related data acquisition is desired. Experience in energy conversion devices (e.g. PV solar, batteries, fuel cells, electrolyzers) is desired. Programming experience in MATLAB, Python, Labview, and/or Excel VBA is desired. Familiarity with common industrial and laboratory sensors and actuators is desired.
