Job Description :
Work as a Certified Principal Engineer or CPE delegate responsible for the Fleet Ballistic Missile Heritage and Test Missile Kit (TMK) Space System Company programs with support flowing from D5 to the Life Extension (LE) production. Responsible for production and requal activities, deployed system support, maintenance of component/system specifications, and ownership of design, analysis, and interface documentation. Candidate will provide technical oversight and direction to the subcontractor and work with FBM teams to ensure successful integration of the packages and compliance of the product with all program requirements. Spec and ICD maintenance; technical evaluation of design and requirements verification; technical evaluations for fiscal year proposals; Pedigree and quality documentation closure, leading failure review teams to closure, vetting critical tests and analyses; taking part in status reviews and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs); certifying the packages are qualified for End Use service.

Hardware involves Missile Flight Control Subsystem to provide steering commands to missile control systems via analog circuitry and communicates with the missile Guidance and Initiation subsystems. And/or involves missile Initiation subsystem, utilizing accelerometers and digital logic to control ignition and staging ordnance events and Reentry body releases.

In addition please note that this is part of the Reshaping FBM effort for 2019/2020.

Basic Qualifications
1. BSEE in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related field
2. Familiarity with Electrical Engineering simulation tools (such as SPICE). Experience using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies).
3. Experience in development, integration and testing of digital and analog circuits.
4. Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with stakeholders (e.g., subcontractor, customer, SEIT, and multiple M&P and parts organizations) and manage closure of Action Items and Liens.
5. Experience working with Subcontractors and sub-tier suppliers
6. Must work well in a team environment with good interpersonal, communication & organizational skills.
7. Ability to become a Lockheed Martin Certified Principal Engineer
8. Working knowledge of electronic component qualification requirements, including EMI/EMC and survivability.
9. Light to moderate travel may be required. TDY/travel may be required as part of the Reshaping FBM effort for 2019/2020.

Desired skills
1. Analog and/or digital design, analysis and testing experience is highly desired.
2. Experience performing formal root cause analysis
3. Experience with automated test management software (Test Stand, Test Studio, or MATLAB)
4. Applicant should have some digital and analog board and box level experience.
5. Experience with Missile flight electronic components and [1st req] power distribution, [2nd req] flight controls or initiation subsystems a plus.
6. 5 years of subcontract electronic component development experience.
7. The candidate should to be familiar with the LMSSC CPE Program and other engineering processes and disciplines.
8. Previous experience as a CPE of analog and digital electronics is desired.
9. Experience in various phases of aerospace electronic component development cycle. Knowledge of front-end product development, including generation of requirements and interfaces, mechanical and thermal packaging, analog and digital design, and transition to production experience.
10. Applicant will be expected to be capable of understanding and evaluating information provided by the subcontractor and to make recommendation to LM FBM management based on their inputs.
11. Ability to produce and present informal / formal status briefings to both LM Program Management and Customer.
