Job Description :
Support classified systems engineering efforts in the C2 Systems/Dogpatch business area.

Systems Architect required to support classified systems engineering efforts in the C2 Ground/Dogpatch business area.
C2 Ground develops software-intensive operator-oriented ground stations with applications and services running on primarily COTS hardware and operating systems with real time tactical and pre- post-mission strategic components. The system architecture group is responsible for ensuring that concepts of operations for the programs that we support are understood and overlaid on our software, platform, and system architecture roadmaps. The system architecture group aids in the definition of system level requirements, helps to refine and understand the boundaries of the systems we are developing and helps to define how those systems fit in the larger systems of systems contexts that we support.

Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing systems including working with the product groups to define the physical and logical architectures of the components within the system. Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility while maintaining overall operational system security. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. May provide technical guidance for systems engineering, platform integrators, and software developers.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience with concept of operations, system requirement, and system interface definition; proven ability to look at and think about the big picture;
- Experience in translating top level system conops, requirement, and interface artifacts into logical and physical architectures;
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing(including e-mail) at a professional level and to distill complex technical and management data to a laypersons understanding with conciseness, clarity, and accuracy.
- Ability to organize complex concepts in written or presentation formats. Ability to clearly present information, verbally and in writing, to audiences of diverse technical backgrounds
- Experience with software development, even if experience is not current.
- Understanding and experience with the software development process and lifecycle.- Understanding of relevant technologies (networking, databases, user interface development, virtualization) as applied to the architecture of the overall system
-Leadership experience; Experience leading and mentoring a successful team (preferably a software development team).

Desired skills
- Familiarity with Model Based Design with respect to capturing system architectures.
- Familiarity with UML and SysML- Previous experience with command and control systems
- Previous experience with ISR systems
- Experience with the Systems Engineering Process
-Architecture experience; technology road map definition.
-Knowledge of LM infrastructure and security standards.
