This Position for a 2018 College Direct Placement (CDP) Software Development Engineer would be part of The GIMS Next (GEOINT Information Management Services) Program providing mission critical capabilities to help enable efficient and timely GEOINT collection management across multiple collection providers. GIMS operates on multiple hardware platforms and combines COTS software with a custom built application to meet critical mission objectives. The program is structured utilizing DevOps and Agile principles. These software development methods emphasize communication, collaboration (information sharing and web service usage), integration, automation, and measurement of cooperation between software developers and other IT professionals. Operational stability is the program’s number one priority. As a member of the Software Development Team within the Space System Company of the Lockheed Martin Corporation, this entry level Software Engineer will be required to be part of an agile scrum team and have basic knowledge software development technologies and programming languages (e.g., Java).

Successful candidate will have training (BS) in a science or technology related discipline and experience in at least one of these skill or computer language areas: C, C++, C#, Java, XML, Windows, .NET, and LINUX/UNIX, system software and scripting development, Java programming, web development, System analysis, System design, Software Design, Software Development and Implementation, Software Test. Candidate will work in a team environment utilizing software methodologies and processes.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance required for this role.

Basic Qualifications
Acceptable degree programs will include only science and technology related programs such as Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics ,Mathematics etc.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including US Citizenship.

Desired skills
Proficiency with one or more of the following software languages: Java, C++, C#. Candidate will have knowledge of basic software practices such as coding standards, unit testing and configuration management, database and System administration. Program specific desired skills would include:
•Agile software development practices and associated tools.
•Experience with development/modifying/troubleshooting software and COTS integration
•Experience with Oracle Weblogic Application Server or comparable app server, Database (Oracle), ANT, Crystal Reports, CSS, Java Server Faces or AJAX, XSLT, UNIX/LINUX OS, PL/SQL query development, HTML, CSS, DODAF, Selenium
•Knowledge / experience using such products as Elastic Search, Kibana, Hadoop, Docker
•Experience with Clearquest/Clearcase, JAVA, JavaScript, J2EE (JMS), EJB, SQL, .NET, Windows OS, Web Services, SQL, XML, UML, DOJO.
•Experience with the deployment architecture (Conductor, Jenkins, CMDB, Storm, Kafka, Zookeeper, Consul, CHEF
