The selected candidate must be familiar with the full Systems Engineering lifecycle to include concept development, systems architecture, requirements development and derivation, integration, test, and verification and validation.

Provide systems engineering support across multiple projects associated with A-Size underwater vehicles. A qualified candidate will be able to understand the scope of the program and work across IPTs to ensure all aspects of the projects are covered with appropriate requirements. Understanding of requirement formulation, decomposition, flow-down, traceability, verification through sell-off, and metrics based on customer provided specification, industry standards, and military standards/handbooks. The ability to work with functional experts and generate verification and validation plans is a must. Candidate will work with senior engineers to provide documents to convey customer and supplier(s) requirement relationships.

Must be a US Citizen. At a minimum must have an interim Secret clearance with ability to obtain a final clearance.

Basic Qualifications
Experience with the systems engineering lifecycle and processes
Experience with requirements decomposition, development, tracking, verification and validation.
Experience with DOORS
Experience with systems engineering metrics
Experience with Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM)
Experience with Integration and Test
Basic understanding of and ability to work with various engineering disciplines
Experience with products designed and developed to Military Standards
Experience with performing testing in laboratory environments for data acquisition and analysis compliant to Military Standards
Experience with navigation systems/sensors (GPS/INS)
Experience with MS Office (Word, PPT, Project, Visio)
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink

Desired skills
Experience with underwater vehicles
Experience with developing interface requirements
Experience developing a Systems Architecture
Experience with SysML
Experience with project planning activities, scheduling tasks, and defining risk and opportunity
Previous interaction with customers and program management
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics
Familiarity with specialty engineering areas such as Safety, Human Factors, Reliability, and Maintainability
Experience in responding to requests for proposals, providing engineering estimates and generating basis of estimates
Experience in simultaneously supporting multiple programs/projects
Experience communicating across engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, test, reliability, safety)
