Job Description :
Responsible for the design, development & implementation of manufacturing processes & procedures, special tooling & equipment, the creation of work instructions from engineering drawings and specifications in a missile production environment. Investigates & initiates corrective actions of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality meets the engineering requirements. Duties also include supporting Industrial Engineering in developing product assembly line layouts, sequencing of operations and other functions that affect product performance and production rate requirements. Process development may include assisting with training of existing Production Operations staff members.

The Locale: Troy, Alabama is located in the East Gulf Coastal Plains region of southeastern Alabama. Troy's climate is typical of areas along the Gulf of Mexico in that it has hot, humid summers and mild winters. Troy is a great place to live offering lots of things to do and has a small town charm. Troy is also a college town and is home to Troy University. Where can you get to from Troy? Troy is just under an hour south of Montgomery, Alabama. Troy is about 2.5 hours north of the Gulf of Mexico and Fort Walton Beach and Florida's Pan Handle. Troy is about three hours from Atlanta, GA.

Basic Qualifications
-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in engineering or a related technical discipline

-Knowledgeable of General Manufacturing Processes & Lean Six Sigma Tools.

-Ability to work in an ordnance facility

-Ability to obtain a secret clearance as candidate must have an interim secret clearance prior to start

Desired skills
-Excellent verbal/written communications and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.

-Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

-Knowledge of mechanical assembly, electronic testing methods, industrial processes, technical writing, and teaming in an ordnance manufacturing environment.

-Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts & techniques and blueprint reading; working experience with MathLab for simulations.

-CATIA or CREO CAD, C or C++ Visual C or Visual Basic, NI Teststand and NI Labview software in a electronic test environment, ordnance handling and assembly methods, Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) programmable logic controllers (PLC), FANUC robotics and computer numerical control (CNC) programming from computer aided design (CAD) models are a plus
