Job Description :
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Director of University Recruitment & Relations. The Director of University Recruitment & Relations, will develop a robust, scalable, university relations strategy for Lockheed Martin. Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Director of University Recruitment & Relations, will be a member of the Talent Acquisition Senior Leadership Team.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a highly matrixed organization, where success ultimately depends on an ability to develop strong relationships, in advance of designing optimal strategies & programs. We are looking for a self-driven and fearless person willing to take the initiative to develop the framework, propose the program initiatives with long-term benefits to Lockheed Martin.

The Director will be responsible for:
-Driving the overarching strategic direction of all STEM activity incorporating the missions for Communications, Engineering & Technology, University Talent Acquisition and Diversity & Inclusion reporting into one office of accountability.
- The Director will partner with Business Areas and Functions to ensure current and future state vision align with analytics and ROI on critical skills. Will drive and influence final decisions around events based on data analytics
- Will partner with recruitment brand and University Talent Acquisition to enhance Lockheed Martin’s unique brand and value proposition on and off campus, build effective relationships across the universities and all leadership levels in Lockheed Martin
- The Director will bring STEM expertise and strategic direction to increase Lockheed Martin’s presence as a STEM hiring leader .
- The Director will work closely with our technology, process and analytics team within talent acquisition to identify tools that will create process efficiencies, partner with our data scientists to ensure we directionally align with our strategic workforce and critical skills hiring plans for STEM to address the needs of the workforce of the future.

This is a demanding position that may require overtime and the ability to work a varied and demanding schedule in support of business area initiatives and recruitment business rhythms. Periodic travel.

Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 10 years demonstrated related progressive experience in recruiting, staffing and/or other Human Resources discipline, with experience leading and or managing teams with demonstrated understanding of staffing as a functional discipline
• Proven ability to build and deliver strategic staffing plans
• Proven analytical skills
• Project management experience

Desired skills
• Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
• Demonstrated success in leading and/or managing virtual/remote employees
• Previous Human Resource leadership experience in a Human Resource discipline/function
• College/intern recruitment experience
• Experience in leading and navigating change and transformation
• A proven track record of developing and coaching talent including talent management assessment, skills gap analysis and coaching team members to align performance to successful
business results
• Effective communication and presentation skills and the ability to interface and influence business leaders at all levels.
• Experience working in Kenexa/BrassRing
• Demonstrated change management experience
• Thorough knowledge of full life-cycle recruiting processes, strategies and tools
• Experience with social media recruitment platforms
