Responsibilities include:
• Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.
• Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
• Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings. Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
• Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
• Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Provides same level of support to off-site locations.
• Ensures all work is performed in the safest manner possible to protect employees, vendors and visitors.

Basic Qualifications
Candidate must possess:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in an Engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2013 or higher).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Ability to lead tasks to completion and monitor/escalate issues.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Highly effective communication skills.
- Experience preparing a technical statement of work.

Desired skills
- Previous experience working in a Facilities organization.
- Previous experience working for an organization that performs building renovations.
- Knowledge of building and construction codes.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and automated controls.
- Energy management background is a plus.
- Ability to manage a wide variety of facility projects such as machine installations or office renovations.
- Customer service oriented.
- Ability to lead teams with indirect reporting relationships.
- Lean Six Sigma experience with a green belt certification.
- Experience working with represented employees.
