Job Description :
This position is for a Field Service Representative (FSR) located in Bahrain to support the Bahraini Defense Forces (BDF) MLRS program. This is an international unaccompanied extended duty assignment (1 year) in which the candidate will support the operation and maintenance of the Multiple Launcher Rocket System (MLRS) M270C1 launchers that are owned and operated by the BDF. Responsibilities include:

Serve as the MLRS subject matter expert, will guide, teach and assist the BDF soldiers.

Assess training needs and conduct classroom and practical instruction using existing training materials paying particular attention to safety.

Conduct “Delta” Operation, maintenance and launcher software update training.

The position requires familiarity with the proper utilization of system, tools, and test equipment contained in the established technical manuals.

Provide depot forward repair support.

Serve as the point of contact between BDF and Lockheed Martin and will support shipping and receiving of designated M270C1 items.

Assist with inspections, repairs, modifications, adjustments and services as required by Lockheed Martin and Project Office.

May analyze current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs.

In addition to training requirements, responsibilities will include contractor maintenance support to the BDF military and civilian personnel in the assembly, installation, testing, operation, calibration, and maintenance from the Field Level through the Sustainment Level.

Provide on-site proficiency training, technical guidance, liaison assistance and information pertinent to the evaluation of operational difficulties involving the MLRS Launcher and other equipment directly involved with the maintenance and operation of the system.

By attending and participating in training / maintenance meetings and supporting field / live fire exercises, the FSR will track and report to management to support monthly repairs CDRL.

Basic Qualifications
Must be able to obtain an interim Secret Clearance prior to start

Must obtain a passport within the first 60 days of employment

Must be willing to deploy

Must be capable of passing a deployable physical examination (including - ability to lift 35 pounds) for deployments to a combat or hazardous duty location

The FSR must possess good computer skills to include Microsoft Office products and internet navigation capabilities.

This candidate should be familiar with the proper utilization of system, tools, and test equipment contained in the established technical manuals.

Must have the ability to assess training needs and conduct classroom and practical instruction using existing training materials paying particular attention to safety.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential

Experience troubleshooting the M270A1 or HIMARS launcher

Must possess a detailed understanding of the MLRS M270A1 or HIMARS system to include:

•Fault isolation, diagnostics, and repair of MLRS M270A1 / HIMARS electrical, hydraulic / mechanical systems experience

•Operational experience for each crew position

Desired skills
Prior military experience E-5 or above

Experience with the Army supply system

The ideal candidate would be a prior service M270A1 / HIMARS vehicle operator, maintainer or trainer with demonstrated leadership and teaching abilities

Experience as a Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) Repairer (94P MOS) or as an Electro-Optical Ordnance Repairer (2171 MOS) or 63B

Prior international assignment experience
