Job Description :
InfraRed Search and Track (IRST) and F-18 program Manufacturing Engineering Lead responsible for Electro Optical (EO) process development to achieve Mission Success initiatives and milestones. Responsible for collaboration with Technical Operations and Test Engineering team in the effective design of Electro-Optical-Mechanical engineering requirements during
Development and continuing into the LRIP/FRP production phase execution. The lead role drives the team to efficient identification of effective Root Cause and resolution for a variety of EO technical issues of advanced scope and complexity related to IRST and F-18 production processes. Role is responsible for contributions to the development of Work Instructions and
process improvements for the IRST and F-18 hardware.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering related field
- Intermediate understanding and application of Electro-Optical (EO) processes and Mechanical Engineering technical principles.
- Experience in Manufacturing Process Planning, Work Instructions, Equipment specification and installation.

Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance

Desired skills
- Technical guidance and problem solving skills in Electro-optical Assembly, Inspection, and test processes.
- Ability to lead projects during the planning and execution phases.
- Experience in Electro-Optical (EO) program production phases including Eng Development, LRIP and/or FRP.
- Technical expertise and experience in developing test methods and procedures using standard measuring equipment such as Autocollimators and Zygo interferometers.
- Technical Infrared/Optical engineering experience.
- Intermediate experience in optical engineering design, analysis and testing of Optics/Infrared systems in the visible and IR range.
- Effective communicator across functional teams as the EO technical resource.
- Ability to represent the program Prod Ops Mfg Eng team for a wide range of difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
- Pro-E modeling experience and GD&T training
- Experience in EO tooling concept/development.
- Effective technician and team collaboration within a production environment.
- Working knowledge of Lean Six-Sigma tools, including Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Experience in the application of Statistical Process Control for Manufacturing, Inspection & Test processes
