This requisition is for a Systems/Software Quality Engineer in the LM Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) for the F-35 Program. The position will interface directly with the F-35 Quality Program Manager (QPM) and will functionally report to the LM RMS EQA Center of Excellence (COE) Manager.

Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures. Conducts software inspection, testing, verification and validation. Implements software development and maintenance processes and methods. Ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards. Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives. Ensures that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contract. Reviews software design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements. Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies. Performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability. The position will require the individual to work with the project managers, team leads, systems engineers, and configuration managers to help drive the successful implementation of projects, tasks and technical deliverables. The position will require the candidate to help edit test plans, initiate implementation methodologies and paradigms, and assist with the implementation/utilization of Quality Assurance across the project.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience
- Have a background in implementation of Software Quality Engineering techniques, best practices and business processes within Engineering Lifecycles and Projects.
- Knowledge of software design & coding techniques
- Capable of interpreting customer statement of work/contracts for quality requirements
- Capable of auditing both software process and product
- Ability to interface with program personnel, customers (both internal and external)
- Must be detail oriented with strong decision making capabilities.

Desired skills
- Masters degree will be considered in lieu of experience
- Experience using JIRA, CM and Test tools within a large program environment is preferred.
- Knowledge and/or experience working Agile development
