Job Description: The Multi-Year X Deputy Capture Manager will support the efforts to propose and successfully negotiate the next U.S. Government Multi-Year agreement and will report to the Senior Capture Manager of the MY X program. Major responsibilities include reinforcing guidance of the day to day activities of a cross-functional team including members from Operations, Finance, USGBO, Pricing, Engineering and Programs, managing project actions, developing and supporting EXCO Gate reviews, providing leadership and guidance to the team, and participating in face-to-face negotiations with the customer. The Deputy Capture Manager will have primary responsibility for leading the development of the MY X Business Case Analysis package with Finance, which will form the basis of the USG’s decision to keep BLACK HAWK production on a multi-year contract.
Travel will be mainly to Huntsville, and will vary throughout the acquisition period with more frequent travel during negotiations.
The ideal candidate will have a cross-functional background including multi-year or USG contracting experience with a desire to advance in Business Operations, Programs, or Contracts. Selected candidate will receive mentorship from experienced members of the team and will be expected to grow into the position supported by a combination of hands-on experience and senior project leadership guidance.
This is an opportunity for a candidate to gain a detailed understanding of the internal processes within Sikorsky; learn the intricacies of the DSS/Army/BLACK HAWK business and customer; add/increase proficiency in customer interactions; and obtain valuable insight on the USG contracting process and knowledge of FAR/DFARS. This multi-disciplinary skillset will provide future growth potential in Programs, Business Operations, and Contracts while working on solidifying the Sikorsky BLACK HAWK production program through 2027.

Basic Qualifications
Position requires a BS or BA degree; MBA or other graduate degree considered favorably.

Desired skills
5+ years of relatable functional experience; experience in Capture Management, Contracting or Programs considered favorably.

Position requires effective listening, strong time management and organizational skills, professional approach, and the ability to think fast on your feet. Requires negotiation skills on both the business and technical levels to maintain customer satisfaction as events evolve during proposal development and negotiations. In addition, excellent written and verbal communication skills are expected, to facilitate translation of customer requirements into usable guidance for internal suppliers (and vice versa), and to distill complex business and technical topics for presentation to executive audiences.
