Job Description :
Engineering & Technology Chief Engineer for the Lower Tier IAMD Sustainment Operations program with proven ability to lead all aspects of the technical efforts associated with post-production support of a multi-billion dollar Air & Missile Defense program, Lower Tier IAMD, that results in technical excellence and mission success. Candidates must possess experience and initiative to ensure technical support is provided to Sustainment Operations which includes keeping abreast of technical issues and ensuring the right processes are being exercised to drive timely resolution. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate of all the tenants of Full Spectrum Leadership in previous assignments is a must. Responsibilities include:

Communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the customer.

Work closely with the Production and Development Chief Engineers to ensure synergy across tasks and to communicate findings from the field.

Support technical reviews both on the program and with the customer and at subcontractors.

Serve as the Sustainment Operations programs representative to the Lower Tier IAMD program CSB/CCB as well as Continuous Improvement Board (CIB).

Serve as the E & T representative to the Sustainment Operations Corrective Action Board (CAB).

Develop inventory sustainment solutions and leading a team to achieve successful demonstration of program development milestones, Systems Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), system integration and test, and Functional Configuration Audit (FCA).

The Lower Tier IAMD Sustainment Operations Chief Engineer must be available for domestic and international travel.

Basic Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a secret clearance with an investigation in the past five years as well as the ability to be read on and have special access

Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance

Candidate should have wide experience / familiarity in dealing with an Engineering & Technology functional organization

Experience in leading Failure Analysis and Failure Review Boards

Ability to plan and lead the technical efforts associated with post-production support of a complex fielded missile and launcher electronics system

Ability to lead development of technical solutions

Knowledge of Air & Missile Defense systems

Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must

Ability to travel

Desired skills
A thorough understanding of managing the technical efforts associated with Stock-Pile Reliability Testing, Recertification Testing, Storage & Aging efforts, Recapitalization efforts and the Reliability Analysis Efforts for a fielded inventory is desired

Experience with Systems Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), system integration and test, and Functional Configuration Audit (FCA)

Knowledge of PAC-3 Missile Segment and its requirements

Working knowledge of dealing with subcontractors and subcontract technical management

Familiarity with the Lower Tier IAMD Missile Segment and its requirements combined with a working knowledge of the Army customer is strongly desired
