We are looking for a high performance, goal oriented professional to manage the day-to-day execution of our current and future Advanced Laser Product portfolio. This leader will be responsible for all aspects of program execution including cost, schedule, risk and subcontract management, process improvement, sustainment, as well as the support of new business pursuits. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Direct all phases of the Advanced Laser Product portfolio from award through completion
• Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs
• Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of a contract
• Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with existing customers to raise cost, schedule, and technical performance awareness.
• Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test
• Partners with business development leaders to develop new products or to expand existing product lines with new or existing customers
• Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program challenges and drives to solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
• Responsible for coordinating program workload, team skillset selection, training recommendations, and performance feedback
• Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas

Basic Qualifications
• Exceptional interpersonal communication, both written and verbal, as well as formal presentation skills, including the ability to interface at all levels of management and customer organizations both locally and virtually
• Knowledge of the program performance management process (PPMP) and associated monthly financial business rhythms
• Cost account manager (CAM) experience and certification
• Experience with the production MRP system
• Proficient with Microsoft office tools, including Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Highly organized, prompt and with a proclivity for detail
• Full Spectrum Leadership characteristics
• Must have an active Secret clearance prior to start

Desired skills
• Self-starter with proven leadership ability, as well as demonstrated success working with limited supervision while coordinating activities with engineering, operations, finance, quality, and other program execution functions
• A team player that can work with diverse disciplines in multi-functional teams at all levels of the organization
• Knowledge of Risk Management and a demonstrated understanding of the value of identifying and managing program risks, formulating risk burn down plans, and ensuring incorporation into project/program plans and schedules
• Experience in the development of SOWs, contract modifications, engineering change proposals, and schedule integration
• Ability to adapt to changing environments while meeting customer requirements and leveraging proven configuration control practices
• Experience with new business capture milestones, proposals and the cost estimating process
• Experience transitioning developmental technology into production
• Experience with high energy technologies and associated, higher-level systems is beneficial, but is not required
• Experience with the EPDM system and associated procurement processes
• Aerospace & Defense Industry experience
• Program Management Assessment at Level 1 or above
• Top Secret clearance is desired, and the ability to attain such clearance could become necessary.
