Job Description :
International Trade Compliance professional to support export / import activities for the RMS Orlando, FL business unit. Function as primary professional authority and consultant for providing expert analysis for product jurisdiction and classifications to determine regulatory authority. Analyzes governmental export/import regulations, laws and requirements to interpret their interrelationships with specific and general activities. Applies knowledge and understanding of detailed technical parameters to determine the export jurisdiction and classification of end-items, subsystems, components and parts, as delineated in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Export Administration Regulations. Applies knowledge and understanding of regulatory definitions of technical data and technology when conducting reviews of technical documents and drawings to determine export control status and document marking requirements. Reviews and interprets technical provisos and limitations imposed on export licenses. Assists in the development of requests to the U.S. government for proviso reconsideration or recommendations for system redesign or modifications. May research, analyze, and interpret engineering designs, and functional capabilities across multiple engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical, materials, and systems engineering. Responsible for the preparation, implementation and modification of export / import license applications, technical assistance agreements, manufacturing license agreements, and exemption / exception usage to support program execution and new business opportunities. Provide guidance and ensure compliance with terms and conditions of approved export authorizations and research/interpret complex Government regulations such as the ITAR and EAR. Proactively collaborate with Programs and Business Development management, Operations and Sourcing personnel to define licensing requirements and prepare license applications in compliance with the ITAR and EAR. Review and process employee international travel and foreign person visit requests; support development and implementation of export / import policies and procedures; and review all export shipments for compliance with authorized scope. Participate / support compliance plans and projects; export and import tools and process improvements. Conduct import/export compliance training, including limitations and provisos on export authorizations, for assigned programs and general employee population; support the conduct of compliance self-assessments and investigations into potential export/import issues. As required, briefs U.S. gov. engineering staff and technology transfer decision makers on the design and performance capabilities and limitations of products and systems; negotiates technical solutions and technology control and system protection plans.

Basic Qualifications
Familiarity with ITAR and EAR Regulations and of export/import processes. Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders; must be able to enforce compliance with export-import laws and regulations. Must have ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Desired skills
Ability to understand and interpret engineering specifications with regard to export classification and jurisdiction under export control reform. Background in aircraft and training systems highly desired. Experience providing technical support on international programs.
