Job Description :
Candidate will design and development of air-to-ground weapon delivery algorithms for F-35 and F-16. Candidate will be responsible for airborne air-to-ground weapon delivery algorithms contained within fighter aircraft fire control systems for both guided and unguided air-to-ground weapons employment. This includes weapon ballistics development / analysis, development of aircraft maneuvering algorithms and flight test bombing anomaly analyses / techniques.

Candidate will have experience with unguided weapon ballistic trajectory and attack steering algorithms, as well as background / training weapon delivery accuracy analyses is a plus. Candidate will be responsible for designing and developing Dynamic Launch Zone (DLZ) and attack steering algorithms for guided air-to-ground weapons (i.e., JDAM, JSOW, WCMD, JASSM, GBU-24, etc.). Familiarity with the operation and use of weapon truth model fly-out simulation software is a plus as well. Candidate must be able to develop analysis tools, perform analyses, and develop mathematical models / algorithms using one or more of the following: XML, Perl, C/C++, Excel (using Visual Basic), MatLab.

Experience in the application of the Reagor-Lynn Methodology (RLM) algorithm technology and Datascape® is recommended, but can be learned on the job. Experience in producing Algorithm Description Documents (ADDs) is desired. Candidate should have experience in working with internal system design and pilot vehicle interface organizations and external weapon vendors and military customers in support of weapon delivery capability requirements definition / development activities as they relate to air-to-ground weapon delivery algorithms and associated requirements.

Candidate should have experience in assisting software mechanization organizations with the implementation of air-to-ground weapon delivery algorithms, as well as supporting system / flight test organizations during testing of associated air-to-ground algorithm capabilities.

Must be a US Citizen, this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering/Technical degree; Mathematics; or Physics.
•Experience with Air-to-Ground weapons and related aircraft algorithm development processes

Desired skills
Demonstrated experience, typically 5 – 8 years, in the following:
• XML, Perl, C/C++, Excel (using Visual Basic), MatLab, Datascape®
• MS Office Suite
• Unguided weapon ballistic trajectory and attack steering algorithms, as well as background / training weapon delivery accuracy analyses
• The operation and use of weapon truth model fly-out simulation software
• Team Player
• Good Communication Skills
