Job Description :
Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, a Lockheed Martin Company, based in Stratford, CT, is a world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced helicopters for commercial and military missions. The Product Support Engineering function serves as the homeroom for aftermarket technical support delivery, leveraging advanced intelligence technologies and delivering centralized execution of parts management and technical support services. This position is located in Trumbull and will report to the Product Support Engineering Manager.

The Product Support Engineer is a key customer-facing role with the responsibility of supporting all technical customer needs. This individual would provide additional accessibility, quick turnaround times, be a “one stop shop” for all technical issues for a specific customer account/region, liaison between various internal functional groups, and serve as an internal advocate for the customer.

The Product Support Engineer will be responsible for:

•Serving as the technical representative on the customer specific account team(s); including ownership of all technical issues associated with the assigned customer(s) and managing to closure.
•Being the direct point of contact to the assigned customer(s) for all technical issues.
•Managing customer specific technical efforts internally across various functional groups and stakeholders, including but not limited to Publications & Training, Customer Service Engineering, Field Service Teams, Program Management, Customer Service Managers, Commercial Business Development, Product Safety, Quality, and Demand & Asset/Fleet Planning.
•Participating in technical communication and education through webcasts and conferences and managing all customer-specific technical communication.
•Participating in operator and maintenance conferences (MRSG, FOG, HUMS, etc.) as required.
•Managing the delivery of customer specific SSI (Special Service Instructions), SEL (Sikorsky Engineering Letters), proof of certification for modifications that requires certification, and analytical reports (engineering evaluation, structure analysis, Electric Loads Analysis) to support aircraft modifications and field failures/removals.
•Completing customer analytics and contributing subject matter expertise on maintenance manuals and market insight.
•Leading investigative efforts with regards to onsite technical support.

The Product Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting the company’s goal of world-class International Trade Compliance (ITC) performance by:

•Completing all required ITC training/certification in a timely manner.
•Actively seeking full understanding of job- and function-specific ITC requirements and contributing to the development of ITC-specific standard work.
•Complying fully with all ITC requirements, policies, procedures and standard work.
•Raising any ITC questions or concerns through company-sponsored channels for resolution.

Basic Qualifications
•Demonstrated technical leadership and experience in the aerospace industry, preferably in the rotary-wing market; •Solid interpersonal, matrix management organizational skills required.
•Strong customer interface skills.
•Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
•Assertive and results-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and experience.

Desired skills
•Knowledge and demonstrated application of Lean principles; Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification preferred
Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license a plus.
