Job Description :
Primary: Will be responsible for coordinating with the F-35 engineering community to assist in determining modification/retrofit tasks associated with specific engineering changes. Will perform analysis of engineering data and compile parts lists required to support the modification/retrofit defined by the Change Request (CR) being implemented. Will author Time Compliance Technical Directives (TCTDs), providing clear, concise, step-by-step aircraft/equipment modification instructions. May work with graphic artists to aide in creation of illustrations for use in TCTDs. May on occasion assist in providing field technical support to maintainers/mod field teams during verification/proofing events.

Secondary: May assist in the development of Initial Retrofit Plans (IRPs), Retrofit ROMs, and retrofit bid sheets in support of Major Variance and CR processing and development.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a quality focus are required. The successful candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a process improvement oriented mindset. Strong interpersonal skills are required to enable effective interaction with seniors and peers while working in a team environment. Flexibility in working with a diverse internal and external customer base on a variety of assignments is also a key requirement.

Basic Qualifications
• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
• Past aircraft maintenance and/or aviation logistics experience.
• Experience authoring technical documents, or using / authoring Technical Directive (TD) and/or Time Compliance Technical Directives (TCTDs) documents in support of modification and retrofit planning or implementation.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, process specifications, and other engineering source data.
• Competent utilizing Microsoft Office suite.

Desired skills
• Aircraft systems engineering background and experience
• Experience using various F-35 Engineering and Logistics applications and tools (JDL - JSF Data Library, PDM - Product Data Manager, QAD - Quality Assurance Document, ATLAS - Advanced Technical Logistics Applications System, VAS - Visual Augmentation System, SFM - Shop Floor Manager)
• Familiarity with F-35 aircraft systems and subsystems.
• Project management experience with strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience with CONUS and OCONUS customer interactions relative to modification events.
• Active US security clearance.
