Job Description :
-As a Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) Organization employee, this role will support all Space Systems Company (SSC) Programs MGSE needs and requires a candidate experienced in the operation, test, maintenance, fabrication and general management of MGSE used to support Aerospace products.
-The candidate will be responsible for the coordination, support, fabrication and delivery of deployed MGSE equipment from the Test Systems organization to various programs and customers.
-Responsibilities would include non-conformance resolution, make/buy evaluations, subcontractor and in-house fabricator coordination, fabrication planning, inspection verification and logistics support.
-Ability to develop manufacturing processes, procedures and documentation related to MGSE. Review, interpret and evaluate for production MGSE engineering drawings to effectively perform various duties including creating and developing mechanical manufacturing processes, subcontractor interfacing and shop floor tooling liaison.

Basic Qualifications
-Must have a B.S. in a related field of study: Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering with 5 years of related experience or a M.S. in a related field with 3 years of related experience.
-Experience with metallic manufacturing, welding, conventional machining and mechanical assembly / processes / materials.
-Extensive experience with mechanical engineering drawings and bill of materials with an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
-Demonstrated ability to work within multidisciplinary product teams.
-Ability to support multiple projects, assignments, and customers simultaneously.
-Familiarity in Microsoft Office Software applications.
-Must be able to work in a team environment with good organizational / communication skills.
-Experience using SAP Software, specifically in non-conformance resolution and SAP Mnote Module.
-US Citizenship required.

Desired skills
-Experience with metallic manufacturing, conventional machining, assembly processes and knowledge of machine shop theory.
-Experience in equipment management, support, operations, logistics and maintenance in the aerospace industry inclusive of environmental control systems and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
-Familiarity with CAD software packages, Creo (Pro-E) preferred.
-Experience in Ground Processing Equipment Control (GPEC).
-Experience with air and road transport of aerospace products.
-Experience in Property Coordination.
-Demonstrated leadership skills.
-Experience developing Statements of Work and OV Letters.
-Lean or Six Sigma experience.
-Parts, Materials & Process (PMP) Engineering experience.
-Knowledge of welding and inspection processes.
-Knowledge with Material Resource Planning and Transportation.
-Knowledge of schedule development and planning.
