Be a part of a team that researches, designs, develops and tests COTS and custom computing hardware and other electrical components. Help us develop designs for the installation of components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets, workstations, customer facilities, and shelters.
Perform a variety of Hardware Configuration Management (HWCM) tasks, such as:
- Proposal development, HWCM planning, change control, effectivity planning, and status accounting on multiple programs.
- Work closely with Customers, Engineering, Production and Program Management to resolve configuration issues.
- Routinely participate in change board activities and manage the hardware configuration baseline of all products.
- Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing and engineering data control activities.
- Ensure that customer requirements are implemented and review change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies.

Basic Qualifications
- Understanding of Configuration Management (CM) fundamentals
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite; effective oral and written communication; and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability as team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with multiple customers
- Ability to work with other engineers, customer/user representatives and program management
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage change, identify issues, work with stakeholders to develop solutions
- Candidate must be able to obtain & maintain a security clearance

Desired skills
- Familiar with Hardware Drawing change tracking, review, and release cycle; Physical Configuration Audits, BOMs, and CDRLs.
- Experienced with Material Requirements Planning, Issue Tracking, Enterprise Product Data Management systems, and engineering Change Practices.
- Understanding of Hardware Configuration Management (HWCM) fundamentals
- Technical aptitude; able to read electrical & mechanical drawings
- Experience conducting / facilitating Engineering Control Boards (ECBs) to manage changes to hardware baselines
- Provide support and guidance on all aspects of HWCM such as process re-engineering, coordination and selection of CM tools, processes, procedures, and CM plans.
