Job Description :
The successful candidate will provide Information Assurance Engineering support to Lockheed Martin-Space Systems Company- Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program. Location of work is at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station at Cape Canaveral, Florida.
Major duties include assessing and mitigating system security risks throughout the system lifecycle. Develop cybersecurity risk assessments and new risk assessment methodologies by analyzing system level threats and vulnerabilities, calculating their likelihood of occurrence, determining applicable mitigating factors and the effectiveness of the applied countermeasures. Perform cybersecurity system requirements analysis to include: initial allocation, interpretation, decomposition and validation by company, Department of Defense (DoD), and Navy policy and guidance into system level requirements. Determine, document and brief risk against cost trade off analysis to customer and company management regarding the results of security requirements validation, identify gaps in policy and/or procedures, and categorizes the expected effort required for remediation and compliance.
Establish system security designs.

Candidate will be responsible for system security, testing and system accreditation activities. Develop and implement government approved information security procedures and plans for the operation of multiple networked and standalone classified and unclassified computers, and coordinate government agency approvals. Candidate will conduct or oversee self-inspections and will maintain minimum compliance with the DIACAP, NISPOM, corporate directives, pertinent DoD Information Assurance (IA)/Cyber instructions and other government contractual security commitments. The candidate will be responsible for writing, implementing, and maintaining system security plans; updating Contingency Plans and any Program Protection Plans required by government customers.

Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Flexible work schedule and some travel maybe required.
Maintain IAT II security compliance certification.

*Must have an active FINAL SECRET or higher Clearance to be considered for this role.
*This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen

Basic Qualifications
Qualifications for this position:

• 3 years of full time professional experience with Sun/Oracle Solaris operating systems.

• Demonstrated professional experience supporting Information Security System Engineering (ISSE) activities on other DoD programs through integration of the cybersecurity process and the systems engineering processes.

• Expertise in system administration and system hardening via implementation of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

• Demonstrated proficiency configuring Windows, Linux/Unix and Networking equipment to the applicable STIGs

Must hold a an active DoD SECRET government security clearance

Desired skills
• Experience with cybersecurity of embedded systems

• Ability to think critically

• Ability to collaborate with highly technical teams

• Ability to translate highly technical information into language that fosters decision-making for senior business leaders

• DOD 8570 IASAE Level 3 Certification (CISSP-ISSAP/ISSEP)

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field
