The Material & Distribution Supervisor is accountable for managing a workforce comprised of hourly/represented employees tasked to ensure that RMS Moorestown provides for the timely and proper packaging, preservation, marking and handling of classified, unclassified, HAZ-MAT, serviceable and repairable property shipments to their applicable customers in accordance with commercial and/or military specification as well as domestic and international regulations. The Supervisor administers and executes policies and procedures that affect individual subordinate employees. Responsible to ensure projects are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules and work plans. The Supervisor develops work assignments and assesses performance. Perform work load planning to allocate resources to meet schedule requirements. Monitor and provide feedback to subordinate employees on their performance. Lead their teams to meet the Operations Excellence goals for Cost, Quality, Schedule, 6S, Continuous Improvement and Safety. Will use Six Sigma as a daily (improvement) tool. Will drive flow and visual factory elements within the area and champion a lean environment.
Will maintain a detailed skills matrix from which training needs can be determined and plans created. Interface appropriately to develop team and keep discipline to task. Communication of short range plans, initiatives, policies and procedure. Collaborate within the team, share and implement common tools/processes. Will perform basic administrative tasks such as attendance verification and payroll interfacing, internal business based training coordination, 'tool' provision and control, and communication forwards and backwards as the first line manager in the assigned area(s)
May also lead Operations personnel.

Basic Qualifications
Able to work independently, Self directed, Basic computer tool experience, strong written and verbal communications. Work force planning experience.
Candidate must be able to obtain an interim secret security clearance prior to starting this position. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience. Must possess the ability to model full-spectrum leadership imperatives. Knowledge of Shipping Policies and Procedures. Experience using SAP. Must be compliant and result driven and understand the financial impacts of decisions and performance of the team. Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired skills
Lean training, 6sigma or Lockheed GB/BB trained. Uses 6S as a tool for running the assigned area of responsibility. Team builder. SAP/Solumina exposure. Knowledge of Lockheed Martin Policies, Procedures and Regulations. Knowledge of Warehouse Policies and Procedures. Prior experience leading employees in a union environment, specifically in the areas of shipping, receiving, and manufacturing. Experience extracting data sets to analyze data for decision making and development of metrics and tracking tools for reporting and managing processes. An understanding of working with 3rd Party Vendors in support of duty execution. Must possess outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel and management. Demonstrated capability to analyze data, establish and drive resolution and escalate information appropriately. Green Belt certification
