Lockheed Martin is looking for a mid-level program planner to support Space Protection Programs, a fast-paced area developing advanced technologies in accelerated program timelines of 18-24 months from design to delivery. Our new team member will be someone who is a self-starter and thrives in a dynamic environment, leads by example, and has the ability to influence and foster collaboration and teamwork across geographically dispersed locations to generate impactful results.

The selected candidate will lead the development, implementation, analysis, and maintenance of complex logic-network engineering program schedules for key deliveries across multiple programs. Responsibilities include:

Develop and maintain compliant Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) in Microsoft Project which accurately and comprehensively validate contractual scope, work flow, and resources required to execute the program.

Develop and maintain subsystem-level supplemental schedules and ensure vertical and horizontal integration with the IMS and Program Summary Master Schedule (PSMS).

Perform critical path and risk analyses and summarize output into actionable data for the Program Management team.

Assist in negotiating giver/ receivers between product areas regarding technical content and schedules and facilitate workaround planning as required.

Adhere to established business rhythms required to accomplish program control, analyses and forecasting objectives.

Lead Control Account Managers (CAM) in the understanding and application of Earned Value Management.

Work with cross-functional teams in engineering, finance, subcontracts, and program management to facilitate communication, understand progress and performance, and evaluate changes and status.

Communicate schedule impacts and propose corrective actions through development and presentation of planning metrics to program and engineering leadership.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/ combined education

Experience using Microsoft Project and other Microsoft Office Suite applications

Previous planning/ scheduling experience

Demonstrated ability to compile, prepare, and present information to management and customers

Strong sense of follow-up and closure with strict attention to detail and quality

Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively across multiple disciplines

Current/Active TS/SCI w/Poly Clearance

Experience with @Risk, Milestones Professional, One Pager Pro

Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills

Experience with compliance requirements and surveillance
