Job Description :
Proficiency in performing such tasks is required by a hands-on practical and written examinations equivalent to Level 2. Individual must obtain and maintain Level 2 certifications per NAS 410 in the Visual Weld, Infrared Thermography, Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle methods and Radiographic Testing (RT) for both film and non-film techniques. The individual’s duties will include reading/interpreting technical procedures and work instructions, as well as hands on evaluations for acceptance/rejection of products and engineering support for all Space Systems programs and sites. Individual must be able to work independently, but also with remote teams of NDT personnel. Individual will be expected to support program required inspections on off-shifts and with short notice to ensure program hardware is available to support program needs and schedules. Business travel is expected to other LM locations, LM suppliers, and customer sites (e.g., NASA and DoD locations) to support program and customer requirements.

Basic Qualifications
Previous training, certification, and experience records for all NDT methods. Specific and practical examinations would then be conducted as soon as the individual demonstrates a clear understanding of the various inspection systems and procedural requirements that govern and control inspection and process controls. Ability to obtain a secret clearance. Individual must be able learn and apply intermediate to advanced computer skills with software such as Microsoft Office and various computer aided NDT inspection systems.

Desired skills
Individual would be Level 2 certified in accordance with NAS410 and already possess a valid state or IRRSP radiation safety certification/card. Individuals with Computed Tomography, Digital Radiography and/or Computed Radiography experience will be noted for preference. Familiarity with GE Rhythm, YXLON FUJI, Image 3500, and/or NSI efX-CT and DR is also desirable. Experience inspecting product forms include welding, castings, composites, COPV, micro-electronics, circuit card level solder joints, and ordnance/solid propellants. Experience with AWS, ASME, MIL-STDs and ASTM standards. A 2 year college degree with Nondestructive Testing is preferred. Previous Level 2 certification and work experience methods would also be a desirable.
